Helping childrento get the beststart in life
At our organization, we are committed to providing financial support to individuals and families who are facing financial hardship. We believe that everyone deserves access to basic necessities like food, shelter, and healthcare, and that by providing financial assistance, we can help alleviate some of the stress and burden of financial hardship.
We offer a range of financial assistance programs to help individuals and families on Long Island who are struggling to make ends meet, including:
- Emergency Financial Assistance: One-time grants to help cover unexpected expenses, such as medical bills, car repairs, or rent.
- Food Assistance: Gift cards or vouchers to local grocery stores to help supplement food costs.
- Housing Assistance: One-time or ongoing rental or mortgage assistance for families at risk of homelessness.
- Utility Assistance: One-time or ongoing assistance with paying utility bills.
- Healthcare Assistance: Assistance with paying for medical bills or health insurance premiums.
To be eligible for our financial assistance programs, individuals and families must meet certain income and residency requirements. The application process is simple and confidential, and can be completed online or in person at our offices on Long Island
We are proud of the impact our summer programs have had on the lives of kids who have participated. Here are some stories of children who have been helped by our programs:
The Williams family, who were facing eviction from their apartment due to unexpected medical bills, received emergency rental assistance from our organization and were able to stay in their home.
John, a senior citizen on a fixed income, received utility assistance from our organization and was able to keep the lights on and the heat running during a particularly cold winter.
Sarah, a single mother who was struggling to make ends meet, received food assistance from our organization and was able to put healthy meals on the table for her children.
We welcome partnerships with individuals and organizations who share our commitment to providing financial assistance to those in need on Long Island. Partnership opportunities include:
Sponsoring a program or event, such as our annual fundraiser or food drive.
